The Skin Edit is a fortnightly editorial series covering skin health, ingredients and aesthetic treatments. It is published by the Dr Nabil Jetha Clinic and written from Dr Nabil’s clinical perspective. Its purpose is educational. It is written to inform your decisions, not to replace a personal medical consultation.
Each issue explains a treatment or skin concern in plain English, then looks honestly at what the evidence supports and where it runs out. You will usually come away with a few sensible questions to ask before committing to anything.
Who is Dr Nabil Jetha?
Dr Nabil Jetha is a GMC-registered medical doctor and aesthetic physician based in London, with GMC number 7751313. He is the founder and Medical Director of the Dr Nabil Jetha Clinic. His background includes:

Why “GMC-registered” actually matters
In the UK, “GMC-registered” means a doctor is listed on the General Medical Council register and is licensed to practise medicine. Medical aesthetics is a lightly regulated field, which means not everyone offering injectable treatments is a doctor, or even medically trained.
When a practitioner is GMC-registered, you can check their status yourself on the public GMC register. It means they answer to a national regulator and carry a professional duty of care that comes before any commercial interest. Checking takes a minute, and it is one of the most useful things you can do before booking anything.
What to expect from each issue
